Style
I provide Intelligent Business Facilitation. My style is to be supportive and build consensus the best solution is not always the ideal one but the one that will work because it has the most support. My MBA and consulting background enables me to structure the output from a facilitated session to provide a platform for further analysis and an audit trail of how the decision was reached. There is more information on this here.
Consultancy
Businesses that recognise the need to address the strategic issues affecting them are usually the ones which grow and prosper. As an independent consultant CJB Corporate Coaching combines the best approaches of a coach with the best parts of a consultant.

Executive Coaching
One of the hardest parts of any process change is making the change stick. Many approaches go some way to helping drive change through but a dedicated corporate coach is the only way to ensure that wholesale change is adopted wholeheartedly and driven through to ensure that the potential benefits are fully realised.
Facilitation
Facilitation is more than standing at a flipchart and brainstorming. It is an overarching process that moves the discussion towards a tangible and valuable conclusion. It seeks to involve everyone equally and to ensure that no one voice, opinion or viewpoint dominates the discussion. It builds consensus and focuses the group on what is truly important and consequently where there is the will for change. A good facilitator will:-
- Design the event processes to ensure the required outcomes are achieved
- Moderate and referee the process
- Control the pace, through timeboxing, drilling down or parking items
- Help the flow of the meeting using appropriate tools, techniques and interventions, for example ice-breakers and tension reduction, a good facilitator will have a sense of humour
- Make constructive, honest and objective input to the discussion
- Enable, empower and encourage the team to take part
- Provide feedback on both how well things are going and where they are going
- Counsel, coach, persuade and cajole as necesssary to maintain progress and focus
- Energise and invigorate when the group become bogged down in the subject matter.
Intelligent Business Facilitation does all the above but also captures the outputs in frameworks that enable subsequent study and analysis providing the building blocks for further development. This can also provide an audit trail of how each decision was arrived at. A good example of this would be using a competitive analysis framework to capture a discussion about what other products existed and how their owners were approaching the market.
